Annual Graduate Law Conference:
A graduate law conference is organised annually by the GLSA executives and a select student committee. The Annual McGill Graduate Law Conference traditionally takes place early in the summer semester and Graduate Law students from McGill University, as well as other North American graduate law schools, will have the opportunity to submit their papers.
This is a great opportunity for Master’s or doctoral students to present their research in an academic setting and network with others working and researching in similar fields. Indeed, the aim of the conference is to bring together doctoral and master’s students, researchers and academics, to engender strong discussion leading to new understandings about the emerging issues impacting the law.
The submission process normally follows a call for papers process and subsequent selection of panelists by the GLSA executive and committee.
The annual Grad’ Ball is usually hosted at the McGill Faculty Club. Although not an official “graduation”, this formal dinner is nonetheless a celebration of the completion of the Fall and Winter semesters by graduate law students.
